I didn't show up to a birthday party that I RSVPed "yes" to. I did the polite thing to do and called the host to tell them I wasn't coming. It was an unavoidable conflict (crashed my hang glider yesterday and was pretty out of it) but I still felt bad for not attending. I don't want to be known as a flake and I don't have time for flakes. You should blow off those flakes. I was on the other side of that situation last night.
